Brighton manager goes four matches unbeaten against Guardiola and makes history. What milestone did he achieve?

Manchester City travelled away to Brighton and were held to a 1–1 draw. The Seagulls’ head coach managed to write his name into the history books.

Details: According to Opta, Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler has remained unbeaten against Pep Guardiola in the Premier League, recording two wins and two draws. He became the first manager to avoid defeat against Guardiola in his first four matches in England’s top division.

Manchester City currently have 43 points after 21 rounds of the English championship. The team trail Arsenal by five points, but the Gunners still have a game in hand, meaning the gap could yet widen.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Portuguese centre-back Rúben Dias is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Reminder: Pep Guardiola is currently facing an urgent search for a new defender, as not only Rúben Dias has picked up an injury, but another centre-back is also unavailable.
