The first women's mass start of the Biathlon World Cup concluded at the third stage in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, covering a 12.5 km distance.

It is reasonable to recall that the top 30 biathletes, comprising the top 25 in the overall standings and an additional five based on stage-specific results, participate in the mass start.

The victor of the race was the 2022 Olympic champion in this discipline, Frenchwoman Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, who managed to clear all four shooting ranges without any misses. Crossing the finish line in second place was Elvira Oeberg, the 2022 Olympic relay champion and double Olympic medalist in individual races, followed by her elder sister Hanna Oeberg, rounding up the trio of top finishers.

It is remarkable thatJustine Braisaz-Bouchet also secured the top spot in the 10 km pursuit race in the yesterday's event. Last year's World Cup winner, Julia Simon, trailed behind the Frenchwoman by 43.1 seconds, finishing in sixth place.
