The fourth stage of the Biathlon World Cup 2023-24 commenced. On Friday, January 5th, in the German town of Oberhof, the women's sprint took place.

Leading the pack in the race was the French biathlete, Justine Bresaz-Bûche, who, despite two shooting inaccuracies, demonstrated commendable prowess on the track. She completed the distance in 22 minutes and 43.0 seconds. Securing the second position was Francisca Proiss, who exhibited flawless marksmanship and trailed the leader by a mere 4.4 seconds. The trio of frontrunners concluded with another French contender, Sophie Jovo, who, with only one miss, lagged behind the leader by 4.6 seconds.
