Details: On the final day of the transfer window, London’s Arsenal have officially opened talks with Scottish side Hearts regarding the transfer of 18-year-old striker James Wilson.
According to reports, Arsenal are hoping to bring Wilson in on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy. Talks are currently at an advanced stage, and Hearts are willing to let their academy product go—but only for a substantial fee.
This season, Wilson has played 10 matches for Hearts, scoring 2 goals. The 18-year-old striker has also made an appearance for the Scotland national team in a match against Greece.
Wilson’s current contract with Hearts runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €1.2 million by Transfermarkt.
