Details: According to the reputable portal FootAfrica, after CAF awarded a technical defeat to Senegal's national team in the AFCON 2025 final and handed victory to Morocco, the bad news for the "Lions of Teranga" did not end there.

According to the source, under Article 59 of the CAF regulations, any team that has been handed a technical defeat is not eligible to participate in the next AFCON tournament.

Therefore, if Article 59 is enforced to the letter, Senegal will automatically be disqualified from AFCON 2027, which is scheduled to be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

At this point, there are no official comments regarding Senegal's participation in AFCON 2027, but the Senegalese side has filed an appeal that could change the situation.
