Reports indicate that the injury Mendy sustained in the match against Espanyol turned out to be very serious. He has been diagnosed with a right thigh rectus femoris tendon injury and will now require surgery, followed by a rehabilitation process that could take up to five months. As a result, Mendy's season is over, and he will also miss out on representing France at the World Cup.
This season has been extremely challenging for Mendy: he has played only 9 matches for Real Madrid due to recurring injuries. His current contract with the Galácticos runs until 2028, and his transfer value is estimated at 6 million euros by Transfermarkt.
Reminder: Real Madrid fans unhappy with Mbappé. What are they writing to the player in the comments?
