Details: Just moments ago, the official Argentina national team page on social media platform X announced that head coach Lionel Scaloni has called up 29-year-old Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi for the World Cup fixtures.
Although Scaloni previously hadn’t counted on Senesi, the Albiceleste boss ultimately changed his mind.
This season, Senesi has made 39 appearances for Bournemouth, providing 5 assists.
So far, Senesi has just 3 caps for Argentina since his first call-up in 2022.
At the World Cup, Argentina have been drawn into Group J alongside Jordan, Austria, and Algeria.
