BREAKING: Abha vs Al-Faisaly match has been postponed!
A last-minute change in the Saudi Pro League schedule! Abha and Al-Faisaly will not face each other as originally planned.
Details: The Round 8 encounter between Abha and Al-Faisaly, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 11, has been postponed. According to the latest update, the match will now take place on October 27. The two teams were supposed to meet as part of the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League, but the fixture has been moved to a later date.
The postponement comes after reports of travel difficulties involving the visiting team. On October 10, Saudi media reported that Al-Faisaly's delegation had been unable to arrive in Abha as scheduled because of flight-related complications.
Initially, a delay of just 24 hours was being considered. However, the latest information indicates that the meeting has instead been moved to October 27, more than two weeks after its originally scheduled date. The new kickoff time has not been specified in the announcement.
Interestingly, the Saudi Pro League had already adjusted its eighth-round calendar earlier this season. In August, the league announced changes to several matchweeks, with Round 8 moved to October 9–11 as part of preparations for the Saudi national team's participation in the Gulf Cup.
It's worth noting that both clubs are still searching for their first league victory of the season. After seven matches, Abha sit bottom of the Saudi Pro League table with just two points, while Al-Faisaly occupy 16th place with three points.
