Juventus has dismissed head coach Massimiliano Allegri. The Turin club announced the immediate termination of his contract and explained their decision following the victory in the Coppa Italia.

"This dismissal is related to certain behavior during and after the Coppa Italia final, which the club considers incompatible with the values of Juventus and the conduct expected of those who represent it," reads the official statement from Juventus.

To recall, on July 16, 2014, Allegri was appointed the new head coach of Juventus, succeeding Antonio Conte. On May 17, 2019, the club's official website announced that Allegri would leave the club at the end of the 2018/2019 season.

During his five years in charge, Allegri led the team to five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia victories, and two Supercoppa Italiana wins. Juventus also reached the UEFA Champions League finals twice under his management.

In May 2021, Allegri returned to Juventus for a second tenure.

It should be noted that after the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta, Allegri had a confrontation with Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago, threatening him and demanding that he “write the truth, not what the club tells him to write.” Earlier, Allegri also clashed with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli over the transfer of Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.
