Manchester City and Belgium national team leader Kevin De Bruyne is close to changing clubs.

According to renowned journalist Rudy Galetti, the 33-year-old midfielder has given a verbal agreement to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

Representatives of the Saudi club held talks with De Bruyne and reached a mutual understanding on the contract terms. Now, it remains for the clubs to agree on the transfer.

It is reported that Manchester City is open to considering the departure of the Belgian player.

Previously, it was mentioned that acquiring De Bruyne is a priority for the Saudi Arabian league officials this summer.

De Bruyne himself indicated at the beginning of the summer that he is seriously considering the option of leaving the Manchester club for the Saudi Pro League.

De Bruyne has been playing for Manchester City since the summer of 2015. He has scored 102 goals and provided 170 assists in 382 matches for the club. During his time with Man City, De Bruyne has won the English Premier League six times.

Notably, Al-Ittihad also features 2022 Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema.
