Today in Liverpool, celebrations are ongoing as the city’s namesake team marks its championship triumph. However, the festivities risk being overshadowed by a tragic incident in the city.
Details: According to the BBC, shortly after 6:00 p.m. local time, Merseyside Police received reports that a car had collided with “several pedestrians” in the Water Street area.
There is no official information yet on the number of casualties or whether there have been any fatalities, but air ambulances are present at the scene and the area has been cordoned off by police.
Journalists report seeing at least three people being taken away by paramedics.
