Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has made significant progress in his recovery from injury and is on the verge of returning to the pitch after two months on the sidelines.

Details: According to ge, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is keeping a close eye on the situation and expects the shot-stopper to be included in the Reds' squad for their upcoming match this Friday.

The 33-year-old keeper, who is the frontrunner to be Brazil's starting goalkeeper at the upcoming World Cup, hasn't played since March 18, when he suffered a right thigh injury.

The Brazilian's return will also be a major boost for Liverpool in the decisive run-in.

This season, the keeper has featured in 36 matches for the Merseysiders across all competitions—keeping 13 clean sheets.

Reminder: Ruben Amorim could take charge of Liverpool.
