Brazil will not change their coach despite being eliminated in the quarter-finals Copa America

Brazil's elimination in the quarter-finals of the Copa America by Uruguay only intensified the criticism directed at the team's coaching staff. Since Tite's victory in the Copa America in 2019, the Brazilian national team has changed four coaches without finding stability.

Tite's era ended in December last year following the failure at the World Cup in Qatar, where the team let a win slip away against Croatia. Since then, problems have emerged that were not seen before. In the 17 matches played after Tite's departure, the team recorded six wins, five draws, and six losses. This is unacceptable for the five-time world champions.

Under Dorival Júnior, Brazil was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Copa America, causing negative sentiments among fans. The main issue is that it has never been clear what style of play the team aims to exhibit.

Despite the disappointing Copa America, the federation has confirmed that Dorival Júnior will remain the head coach.

"In two months, we have the qualifying rounds, and the plan is to continue with Dorival Júnior. This is a World Cup cycle, and he and his coaching staff understand what needs to be fixed. Dorival is aware of what went wrong. This is how a winning team is built," said CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues.
