Benfica has come to the defense of its own player, who is facing accusations of racism.
Details: Today, the official X account of Lisbon's Benfica posted a video that clearly shows the full incident involving Gianluca Prestianni and Vinicius Junior. After this episode, the Brazilian ran to the referee to complain that the Argentine had directed a racist slur at him.

The footage reveals that there was a significant distance—several meters—between Prestianni and Vinicius. Benfica has therefore cast doubt on the Real Madrid players' claims that they could distinctly hear a racist remark coming from Prestianni:
"As the images show, given the distance, Real Madrid players could not have heard what they claim to have heard." - reads Benfica's statement.
This incident has sent shockwaves through the football community, and Gianluca Prestianni has even had to disable comments on his social media due to threats from Real Madrid supporters.
