Brass knuckles, hammers, knives. A bloody brawl between PSG and Real Sociedad hooligans was averted

Law enforcement authorities in San Sebastián successfully thwarted a potential mass brawl between fans of Real Sociedad and PSG on the eve of the second leg match of the Champions League Round of 16, as reported by RMCSports.

It has been reported that today, on March 5th, approximately 50 aggressive hooligans from Sociedad and around 100 PSG fans were apprehended. Among the seized items were 15 golf clubs, a metal rod, three ice picks, four mouth guards, two pairs of brass knuckles, a long knife, two pocket knives, several screwdrivers, a hammer, and a signal flare.

Around 2,000 fans of the Parisian team are expected at today's match in San Sebastián. Maximum security measures have been implemented in the city surrounding the fixture.

Recall that the first leg match in Paris ended with a convincing 2:0 victory for PSG, courtesy of goals from Mbappé and Barcoloa.
