Bradley Grobler's absence at Sekhukhune United affecting his impressive start to his PSL campaign as striker is sidelined through injury
Expectation by now was that Bradley Grobler would be closing off the year with double figure goals in the Betway Premiership.
The former SuperSport United striker started the current campaign like a man on a mission for Sekhukhune United only to fizzle out as the games started demanding more of him.
Goals against Kaizer Chiefs and Man of the Match awards signalled a man reborn.
And it was not a surprise that Grobler is the second highest goals in the PSL with six to his name behind Golden Arrows’ Sede Dion who scored a goal more than Grobler.
The man has been missing for the Limpopo side because he suffered an injury while at home.
“We lost Bradley, unfortunately, to an accident at home that he needed to go get a thorn taken out of his foot,” United coach Eric Tinkler said as per iDiski Times.
“So, he needed surgery. So, he wasn’t available.”
Through Grobler’s brilliance, Sekhukhune were seen as dark horses of the Betway Premiership as the Tinkler side has been flitting with the second and third spots after Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
As it is they are on the third spot with 25 points three less than table toppers Pirates after midweek 1-0 victory against Magesi.
They will be hoping Grobler returns to form when teams continue football after the recess so they can stake their claim in annexing the PSL title.
