Boxers from Russia will not be participating in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, as announced by the Secretary-General of the Boxing Federation, Tetiana Kyrienko.

According to her statement, boxers from their country will never compete under a neutral status, as they cannot betray their homeland. It is worth noting that representatives of Russia and Belarus only compete under their national flags at tournaments organized by the International Boxing Association (IBA), which is headed by Umar Kremliev.

It is worth recalling that there were many controversies regarding the participation of Russian athletes in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Nevertheless, they were eventually allowed to compete, but the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, John Coates, stated that only 40 athletes would be eligible to participate.

Furthermore, for the first time in Olympic history, each medal will be adorned with a symbolic piece of metal. It has been revealed that a fragment of the Eiffel Tower will be added to the medals.
