Borussia Dortmund has sold promising defender Abdoulaye Kamara to an English club.
The 19-year-old French-Senegalese center-back has joined Portsmouth, as announced on the official website of the Championship club.
The versatile player, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, has signed a four-year contract.
Portsmouth's head coach, John Mousinho, commented on the signing:
"He is an extremely promising young player who comes with a lot of experience, having played for Dortmund and PSG. We believe he is ready for Championship football and can really kickstart his career with us, so we're delighted to have him here."
Borussia signed Kamara in 2021 from PSG, but he primarily played for the youth team of the "Black and Yellows."
It's worth noting that Portsmouth earned promotion to the Championship last season.
By the way, last week, Borussia Dortmund announced the transfer of the Hoffenheim star.
