Borussia Dortmund considers Roger Schmidt as replacement for Şahin

Following the dismissal of Nuri Şahin, Borussia Dortmund has begun its search for a new head coach and has identified two main candidates.

Details: According to Nicolo Schira, Dortmund’s management is seriously interested in Roger Schmidt, the former head coach of Benfica and Bayer Leverkusen.

However, Schmidt is reportedly not enthusiastic about taking over the team mid-season.

Another candidate, as reported by Sky Sports, is Erik ten Hag. But he too is reluctant to assume a new role during the season.

For Dortmund’s upcoming match against Werder Bremen, the team will be led by Mike Tullberg, who currently coaches the U-19 squad.

Reminder: Borussia Dortmund has lost four consecutive matches, including yesterday’s UEFA Champions League defeat to Bologna.
