Boom! Van Dijk could make sensational Serie A move

Virgil van Dijk could be heading for one of the biggest moves of the summer.

Details: According to Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti, Milan remain interested in Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and could make a move for the Dutch centre-back when his contract expires at the end of the 2026/27 season.

Pellegatti has repeatedly linked the experienced defender with the Rossoneri. The journalist says the name was never mentioned without reason and claims Milan's plan has been either to sign Van Dijk for a fee or wait until he becomes available as a free agent.

The reporter remains convinced that Van Dijk will arrive at Milan “sooner or later.” However, there is currently no official agreement between the player and the Italian club, and Liverpool have not announced his departure.

If the move is eventually completed, Van Dijk would join Ruben Amorim's squad at San Siro. The Portuguese coach is currently in charge of Milan, making the potential arrival of such an experienced centre-back an intriguing option for his defensive unit.

It is worth noting that Van Dijk remains Liverpool's captain and is under contract until June 30, 2027. Transfermarkt currently values the 35-year-old Netherlands international at €15 million.
