Transfer battles kick off long before the actual window opens.

It’s reported that although Tonali wants to stay in England, but with a different club, his entourage is also working on a possible move to Madrid for the Italian.
According to the source, Tonali is being considered as a backup option for the Galácticos should the signing of Rodri fall through.
Tonali’s agents made it clear to Real’s management that Newcastle would let their leader go for £80 million—a price tag that shouldn’t be an obstacle for Los Blancos.
However, Madrid are in no rush to open talks with Tonali, as they still believe they can land Rodri.
This season, Tonali has played 47 matches for Newcastle, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists. His market value is estimated at €80 million by Transfermarkt.
