Bombshell at Old Trafford! Young talent officially asks Manchester United to let him leave
One of Manchester United's brightest academy talents has made a decision that has stunned the club.
Details: According to The Telegraph, 15-year-old JJ Gabriel has formally notified Manchester United of his intention to leave and has asked the club to cancel his registration with immediate effect. Such a step would allow the highly rated attacker to become a free agent.

Manchester United have not given up hope of persuading Gabriel to change his mind. Because he is still registered as a youth player, the process cannot simply be completed unilaterally: under the relevant rules, an agreement between the parties is required, while the matter can ultimately be referred to the Premier League for a binding decision.
The timing makes the situation particularly striking. Gabriel recently scored a hat-trick in a 5-0 UEFA Youth League victory over Sabah, becoming Manchester United's youngest-ever goalscorer in the competition at 15 years and 339 days. He has also already featured for the senior side during pre-season and had been pushing towards a competitive first-team opportunity.
Gabriel has been with Manchester United since the age of 11, but speculation over his future intensified after he cleared Manchester United-related content from his social media. The club now faces a major battle to retain a player regarded as one of the outstanding prospects of his generation.
It is worth noting that Gabriel scored 23 goals in 23 U18 Premier League appearances last season. He was also named the division's Player of the Season and became the youngest-ever recipient of Manchester United's Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award.
