Interim WBO heavyweight titleholder Joseph Parker has thrown down the gauntlet to IBF champion Daniel Dubois, who is scheduled to fight on February 22.
Quote: “He looked great against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua. But there’s a difference between them and me. I’m fresh, hungry, and ready to go. I’ve been waiting for a big fight since March, so let’s make it happen now,” quotes Parker journalist Michael Benson.
To recap: Dubois defeated Anthony Joshua in September, retaining his IBF belt with a stunning fifth-round knockout of AJ at Wembley Stadium. Parker, meanwhile, claimed victory over Zhilei Zhang in March.
It's worth noting that Turki Alalshikh recently announced the date for the Dubois-Joshua rematch.
