Boca Faces Brazilian Competition for Atlético Nacional’s Marino Hinestroza

Boca Juniors has its sights set on Marino Hinestroza to bolster its attack after the Club World Cup, but the Argentine giants are not alone. As TyC Sports reported, both Botafogo and Internacional SC have entered the race for the 22-year-old Colombian, complicating Boca’s pursuit.
Hinestroza has emerged as one of Atlético Nacional’s brightest young talents, and the Colombian club is reportedly unwilling to negotiate for less than $8 million. Boca has yet to make a formal offer but has identified him as a key target for Miguel Ángel Russo’s squad.
A potential advantage for Boca lies in Jorman Campuzano’s situation. The midfielder, on loan at Atlético Nacional from Boca, is reportedly wanted permanently by the Colombian side. His inclusion in the deal could help lower the asking price for Hinestroza.
Meanwhile, Boca had also considered Millonarios winger Jhon Córdoba, but he is now close to joining Newell’s. Another name in the mix is Walter Mazzanti from Huracán, valued between $3 and $4 million. Despite exploring alternatives, Boca’s main focus remains firmly on securing Hinestroza.
