Bob Arum shared insights into the future plans of the undefeated Japanese champion
Bob Arum discussed the immediate plans of the undefeated world champion in the super bantamweight division, Naoya Inoue (27-0, 24 KOs).
"We're planning for Naoya to have his next bout in his homeland, Japan, in September. Then, depending on how things progress, he'll fight again towards the end of the year. Perhaps it will be in Riyadh.
Both Goodman and Doeni are excellent opponents. I had a brief chat with Sam, and I was impressed by him and his demeanor. So, I'm not sure if he'll fight Inoue in September or December. But he will undoubtedly fight Naoya this year," said Arum.
In early May, the Japanese boxer Inoue successfully defended his title for the first time and is eagerly awaiting his next bout.
It was previously reported that the promoter of Ukrainian Vasiliy Lomachenko is keen to match him against the Japanese champion.
