Black Galaxies Return to Club Duties Ahead of Premier League Resumption
After a two-week break, the Ghana Premier League is scheduled to resume this weekend, and the Black Galaxies players have returned to practicing with their teams. Matchday 13 will take place on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, 2024, at nine different venues.
Led by their head coach Mas UD Didi Dramani, the players recently came back to Ghana after winning 1-0 against Togo in a friendly match in Lome. This game was part of their preparation for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The squad will reconvene on Sunday evening to intensify training ahead of their crucial CHAN first-leg qualifier against Nigeria on December 22 in Ghana. The reverse fixture is set for December 28 in Nigeria.
Having defeated their rivals in the previous edition after a thrilling penalty shootout after a 2-2 aggregate score, Ghana has a solid recent record against Nigeria in CHAN qualifiers.
The Premier League resumption and CHAN qualifiers provide a busy and pivotal period for the Black Galaxies, who aim to excel both domestically and on the continental stage.
