Barcelona are gearing up in full force for the summer transfer window.
Details: According to MundoDeportivo, the Catalan club’s management has decided to focus on the transfer of 27-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray if their attempt to sign the Argentine star Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid does not succeed.

At present, Alvarez remains Barcelona’s number one target, but amid persistent rumors linking him to London’s Arsenal, the Blaugrana understand the need for a plan B in case Alvarez ultimately decides to leave Spain.
The main concern Barcelona’s management has about Victor Osimhen is his fiery and challenging temperament, which caused issues during his time at Napoli. However, the German discipline and rigor of Hansi Flick could dramatically change Osimhen’s behavior.
Ultimately, Osimhen’s move to Barcelona depends directly on the future of Julian Alvarez.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray as a permanent player in the summer of 2025 from Napoli for €75 million. This season, the Nigerian has featured in 29 matches for the Turkish giants, netting 19 goals and providing 7 assists.
His contract with Galatasaray runs until 2029, and his market value is estimated at €75 million by Transfermarkt.
