Reports suggest that Tottenham’s possible relegation from the Premier League could be the decisive factor in Simons’ departure. However, even if Spurs stay up, the chances of Simons remaining in North London are slim.
Barcelona are seriously considering bringing Simons back and are ready to splash around €46.2 million for his return. But the Catalans aren’t the only ones monitoring the situation—Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on Simons.
Xavi Simons is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy. He left Catalonia in 2019 to join PSG. In August 2025, Simons moved to Tottenham from Leipzig for €65 million. This season, Simons has featured in 38 matches for Spurs, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value currently stands at €50 million.
