On October 16, it was officially announced that former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel will take the reins of the England national team. The German manager is set to begin his role on January 1, and details have emerged about his impressive compensation package.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Tuchel’s annual salary with the England team will be €9 million, along with an additional €2-3 million in performance-based bonuses, though the criteria for these bonuses remain undisclosed. His coaching staff will also receive bonuses, with a combined annual pay of around €1.5 million.
Reminder: Tuchel’s start date on January 1 also benefits Bayern Munich’s financial outlook, as they will no longer be obligated to pay their former coach’s salary from that date onward.
