"Big compliments to Luton". Arteta sums up the most difficult match for Arsenal
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta did not hide his emotions after the team's victory over Luton Town.
In the away match, the leader of the standings won with a score of 4:3, and the Gunners managed to score the winning goal in the referee's stoppage time.
"We are very happy. We knew we were in for a tough battle, and we made it difficult for ourselves by conceding goals. But we showed a collective spirit, fought and didn't give up at the right moments. We were determined to win and got the reward we deserved," said Arteta in an interview with the BBC.
The Spanish coach also paid tribute to Luton. In particular, he noted that the opponent delivered the ball perfectly to the attack and perfectly converted their chances.
"Sometimes you have to recognize the superiority of your opponent. Big compliments to this team, it was a tough night," the coach added.
It is reasonable to mention that Arsenal secured first place in the standings after the victory and is now five points ahead of Liverpool, but the Reds have a game in hand.
