Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy loses defender Qobolwakhe Sibanda to Egyptian club Pretrojet after losing Puso Dithejane
TS Galaxy has lost defender Qobolwakhe Sibande to Egyptian side Petrojet SC.
Sibande is the second player to leave Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy after midfielder Puso Dithejane moved to Chicago Fire in the MLS.
Now it’s the left-back’s turn to move from the Mpumalanga-based side to North Africa’s Egyptian League.
The 25-year-old arrived at Galaxy from Stellenbosch FC’s development side a year ago and has been a subject of transfer since his arrival at Galaxy.
He has always been linked with a move to Egypt as Petrojet made inquiries from the start of the current campaign.
Under coach Adnan Beganovic, Sibande has managed to feature in 11 matches for the Galaxy this season.
“Thank you, Qobolwakhe Sibande, for your commitment, energy, and positive spirit. Your contribution has made a real impact, and we truly appreciate everything you’ve given. Wishing you nothing but success at your new club, Petrojet SC,” said the club in a statement.
