Betway Premiership side Durban City sign Ugandan goalkeeper Salim Magoola from Richards Bay
Nedbank Cup holders Durban City have secured the services Ugandan goalminder Salim Magoola from crosstown rivals Richards Bay.
The goalkeeper is a direct replacement for City's Darren Keet who revealed last season that he is hanging up his gloves.
Actually, both goalkeepers at City in Keet and Ayanda Mtshali, announced their retirements from the game last season and this left the club thin in the goalkeeping position.
Now Magoola comes with loads of experience having also played for Pretoria Callies in the National First Division before joining Richards Bay in 2022.
The Ugandan goalkeeper also attracted the interest of Kaizer Chiefs when he peaked last season but that keenness from never became a tangible offer.
He will be expected to help guide City to a meaningful challenge in the Caf Confederation Cup having qualified for it after winning the Nedbank Cup.
