Betway Premiership club boss Tim Sukazi sees Benni McCarthy as the next Bafana Bafana

Benni McCarthy should be appointed as successor to outgoing Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.

McCarthy has all the credentials to replace Broos who guided Bafana to their historic feat at the just ended World Cup, where they reached the last-32 knockout phase.

Broos indicated that he not going to be the national side's coach and Safa are on a manhunt to find his replacement.

PSL club boss, Tim Sukazi, said McCarthy, who is currently coach of the Kenyan national team, should be given the chance to coach Bafana Bafana.

"Benni McCarthy. He is there. He is doing magic with an unfashionable side in Kenya. This is a proper South African team. He has done a splendid job at all the teams he coached here when he was a novice in the coaching field. At AmaZulu, he finished second, and he won the MTN8 with Cape Town City, and his teams have been high up there. That's the truth, and these are the facts," said Sukazi, who is TS Galaxy chairman, to the media on weekend.

"I don't want to mention his experience, and I don't want to mention him being on the bench of Manchester United and so forth. He's young. So, if you ask me, I would go for Benni McCarthy, no doubt about it. I am saying that with the utmost respect to other candidates, if there are. I don't know if Benni is a candidate, and I don't know the other candidates. There has been mention of coach Pitso Mosimane."

Safa said they will announce the future of Broos' role at the end of the month.
