Buthelezi has been Pirates' number two since he arrived three seasons ago
Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates have released goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi.
The goalkeeper joined Pirates three seasons ago from TS Galaxy and has been deputising for number Sipho Chaine with only 22 appearances in the Pirates shirt to his name.
“The Club extends its sincere gratitude to Melusi Buthelezi for his professionalism, commitment, and contribution throughout his time with Orlando Pirates,” the club said.
“We wish him every success in this next chapter of his career.”
Pirates also have Siyabonga Dladla in their goalkeeping department who will most likely step in Buthelezi's shoes.
