Betway Championship match between Maghese and Kaizer Chiefs postponed. What’s the reason?
After the international break, domestic competitions are set to resume — including in South Africa. However, one of the fixtures will take place later than scheduled.
Details: The match in question is the Betway Championship Round 13 fixture between Maghese and Kaizer Chiefs. It will not be played on Wednesday, 26 November.
The reason is that Kaizer Chiefs have commitments in the CAF Confederation Cup, forcing the league match to be rescheduled. The new date has not yet been announced, with the PSL expected to confirm it later.
Earlier, we reported that the unavailability of FNB Stadium for the highly anticipated Confederation Cup showdown between Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian giants Zamalek opened the door for Peter Mokaba Stadium to host the match.
Reminder: Kaizer Chiefs currently sit third in the Betway Championship table with 22 points from 11 rounds, trailing the league leaders by just three points.
