Manchester City hosted Newcastle in the quarter-final match of the FA Cup.

The favorite encountered no difficulties against the Magpies. In the first half, the Sky Blues made 11 attempts on goal compared to Newcastle's 1, and comfortably went into halftime with a two-goal lead.

Bernardo Silva scored a brace. The Portuguese midfielder netted his first goal from a pass by Rodri, and the second goal came from an assist by Ruben Dias.

In the second half, Newcastle showed insufficient will to win, failing to turn the game around despite City playing in conservation mode. The match ended with a comfortable 2:0 victory for Guardiola's side, securing their place in the next round.

City became the second semi-finalist of the tournament. Earlier, Championship side Coventry City surprisingly eliminated Wolverhampton Wanderers (3:2).

Tomorrow, on March 17, two more quarter-final matches will be played. You can find the full schedule of the stage here.
