Bernard Parker thrilled at being appointed Betway Premiership club TS Galaxy coach
Bernard Parker has expressed delight at being given the reigns at Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker took over the coaching position at the Mpumalanga-based outfit towards the end of last season after the club parted ways with Adnan Beganovic.
One of his first assignment as Galaxy coach was the Nedbank Cup final against Durban City where they lost 2-1 to the Kwa-Zulu Natal side.
Parker said he is happy by the confidence shown in him by club boss Tim Sukazi appointing him on a permanent role.
"It's not a surprise at all because we've had a lot of discussions in terms of the way forward, but also in terms of what I've done and what we've done together. Him giving me that confidence makes me feel proud of myself and proud of the group of players," said Parker.
Parker's immediate task at the club, is most likely to probably ensure the team maintains its Betway Premiership status and also secure the top eight as they finished in the bottom half last season.
