Thanks to Ángel Di María's penalty, Benfica took the lead in their FIFA Club World Cup clash against Auckland City. However, both teams will head into the second half with a delay due to a storm warning in Orlando.

Details: As the players made their way to the locker rooms, a message appeared on the stadium scoreboard announcing the match was being halted because of adverse weather conditions. Unless there are further incidents, the delay is expected to last about thirty minutes. If a thunderstorm hits Orlando, a 30-minute countdown will be triggered after each lightning strike before play can resume.

Recall: This marks the fourth time a Club World Cup fixture has been suspended due to inclement weather. Just yesterday, the match between Palmeiras and Al Ahly in New Jersey was interrupted, and Mamelodi Sundowns players were also forced off the pitch in their clash with Korean side Ulsan.
