Benfica aims to extend the contract with the legendary Argentine player

Benfica is prepared to enter negotiations with Argentine footballer Ángel Di María regarding a new contract, as reported by journalist Nicolò Schira.

The Portuguese club has already initiated discussions with their winger regarding an extension until 2024. Although the current contract expires in the summer of 2024, there is a clause for extending the collaboration for an additional season, which Benfica aims to activate.

Benfica's president, Luís Filipe Vieira, stated that he secured an excellent replacement for Simão Sabrosa for the next 5 years.
