Bellew assesses Joshua's chances in potential Fury bout
Following Tyson Fury's loss to Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch, discussions have arisen about a possible fight between the "Gypsy King" and Anthony Joshua. Former world champion Tony Bellew has weighed in on AJ's chances.
Details: Speaking to talkSPORT, Bellew stated that the outcome will depend on who rebounds better from their respective losses. According to Bellew, Joshua has the ability to knock out Fury, but his approach will be key.
Quote: "If Joshua steps in and decides to unleash his punches, he can knock anyone out. If he steps in and tries to box Tyson Fury, he could lose badly. But if Joshua goes in and lets his hands go, he’s capable of knocking anyone out. So let it be Joshua," Bellew commented.
Promoter Eddie Hearn expects Anthony Joshua to return to the ring this summer, likely against Tyson Fury or Daniel Dubois. Hearn sees no other viable options for AJ.
Reminder: The 35-year-old Joshua has not fought since Dubois defeated him at Wembley Stadium in London in September. After the Usyk vs. Fury fight, Hearn stated that a sensational bout between Joshua and Fury must be arranged.
