Famous promoter Eddie Hearn has called for the sensational fight between British heavyweights Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to be organized. Hearn is convinced that a defeat for Fury will lead to the long-awaited showdown with Joshua in 2025.
Quote: "I don't think now is the time to shout, this evening belongs to Usyk and Fury, but the reality is that for Tyson Fury, there is only one fight — the fight with Anthony Joshua," Hearn said in an interview with DAZN.
"This is probably the biggest fight in the history of British boxing, everyone will always want to see it. I think Tyson Fury is still potentially at the peak of his abilities, it’s just that today he didn’t have enough to beat Oleksandr Usyk.
For me, Joshua vs. Fury is the only fight, it’s a fight at Wembley, and I will be convincing His Excellency [Turki Al-Ash-Shaykh] to organize this fight."
Reminder: Tyson Fury suffered his second defeat to the undefeated Oleksandr Usyk. All three judges scored the fight in favor of the Ukrainian, 116-112. Fury left the ring after the announcement of the results and claimed he had won the fight by at least a three-round advantage.
