Beşiktaş terminated the contract with one of its footballers due to the Tinder account

Beşiktaş came up with an unusual reason for terminating the contract with 21-year-old forward Emirhan Delibaş. According to CNN Turk, a profile appeared on the dating app Tinder with the name and photo of the footballer, even though the age was listed as 24. The profile had a verification mark, dispelling any speculation about it being a fake account.

This fact caused confusion among Beşiktaş fans, and amidst their dissatisfaction, the club announced that they had terminated the contract with the footballer. The 21-year-old forward is a product of the club's academy and spent the 2022/2023 season at Gaziantepspor. In the current season, Delibaş played only 14 minutes for the Istanbul team, and Transfermarkt values him at €50,000.

It's worth noting that during the winter transfer window, Fernando Santos's team signed midfielder Ernesto Muchi from Legia for €10 million.
