Beatrice Chebet is the person of the day at the Olympics according to Dailysports

As the 14th day of the 2024 Olympic Games comes to a close, the Dailysports team has once again selected the standout athlete of the day.

In our view, Kenyan runner Beatrice Chebet deserves the spotlight. On this 14th day of competition, she claimed gold in the 10,000 meters. Chebet completed the "Steeplechase Double," having already won gold in the 5,000 meters just a few days prior. This brings her tally to two gold medals at the 2024 Olympics.

Additionally, a historic event occurred at the 2024 Olympics. On Friday, August 9, the first set of medals in breaking among B-Girls was awarded, with Japan’s Ami securing the gold.
