Bayern will keep the Tottenham defender in the squad

Just two months were enough for Eric Dier to convince bosses at Bayern Munich of his fitness.

As David Ornstein reports, the Recordmeister will exercise the option of a loan deal with Tottenham, which included signing a one-year permanent contract.

Dier will join Bayern as a free agent, as his agreement with Spurs runs until the summer of 2024. The transfer will happen when the Englishman's contract with Tottenham expires.

It is added that the centre-back on loan to Bayern was allowed to negotiate with other clubs, as stipulated in FIFA rules.

The 33-time German champions were pleased with the former England player's contribution and leadership qualities in six matches with Dier, including four appearances in the starting line-up.
