Tuchel confirmed. Tottenham defender moves to Bayern Munich
Central defender Eric Dier is making a transition from Tottenham to Bayern Munich. The transfer fee is reported to be 4 million euros, as conveyed by Fabrizio Romano. The details of the contract with the English footballer remain undisclosed for now.
Today, Dier will arrive in Munich to undergo a medical examination and finalize the deal.
The fact of Dier's transfer has already been confirmed by Bayern's head coach, Thomas Tuchel:
"We're getting him for the centre-back position, can play right or left centre-back as well as in back 3. He also used to play as #6 in Premier League some years ago", – quoted Tuchel by Fabrizio Romano.
The 29-year-old Englishman moved to Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2014 for 5 million euros. In total, he has played 364 matches for the Spurs, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists.
Dier's contract with Tottenham expires this summer, and in the current season, he has only appeared on the field four times.
It is worth recalling that Bayern tried to sign Genoa central defender Radu Dragušin, but he opted for Tottenham.
