Bayern Munich have stepped up their pursuit of Hertha's 16-year-old midfielder Kenneth Eichhorn, eyeing a possible summer transfer.
Details: According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the young prodigy Kenneth Eichhorn is a concrete target for the Bavarian club this summer. At Bayern, he is seen as a long-term reinforcement for the midfield. The club's leadership—Max Eberl, Christoph Freund, and head coach Vincent Kompany—all rate the prospect highly and are in favor of bringing him in.
Eichhorn is on Bayern’s shortlist alongside another promising midfielder—Nathan De Cat, the Belgian talent from Anderlecht—who is also highly regarded within the club. However, the final decision from Eichhorn himself is still pending.
The battle for the 16-year-old midfielder is expected to be fierce: Bayern’s main rivals in Germany are RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, while top clubs from abroad are also expressing interest. Eichhorn’s contract reportedly includes a release clause in the range of €10–12 million.
It’s worth noting that the 16-year-old Hertha winger has already scored for the Berlin first team—he found the net in a DFB-Pokal clash against Kaiserslautern.
