Bayern set sights on signing another England international
Bayern Munich are seriously considering a move for Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, the 25-year-old Englishman has emerged as the top target to strengthen the left flank of attack. The German giants' management view Gordon not just as a rotation option, but as a direct competitor for Luis Díaz, aiming to ensure maximum squad depth ahead of the new season.
The player himself has already been informed of Bayern's interest. Moreover, concrete talks have already taken place between Bayern representatives and the player, during which details of a potential move to the Bundesliga were discussed.
Despite advanced personal contacts, there has yet to be any official dialogue between the clubs. Newcastle remain firm and are in no rush to part ways with one of their key assets, who has become a symbol of the current "Magpies" project.
It should be noted that this season, Gordon has made 46 appearances, scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists. Transfermarkt values the player at €60 million.
Reminder: Bayern reached a unique milestone in Bundesliga history.
