Bayern Munich representatives held talks with Wirtz's family
Florian Wirtz has become a true star and leader of Bayer Leverkusen. Several clubs are interested in the midfielder, and one has come closer to securing his transfer than the others.
Details: According to insider Florian Plettenberg, several meetings and discussions have taken place between Bayern Munich representatives and Florian Wirtz's family. The Munich club is seriously targeting this transfer and wants to finalize the move this summer.
Currently, there have been no negotiations between Wirtz himself and Bayer, but Leverkusen is confident they can keep the player until the summer of 2026. As for the midfielder's family, they are leaning towards a move to Munich, despite interest from Manchester City.
It was previously reported that Wirtz intends to join Bayern before moving to a foreign club. Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness is actively involved in the potential signing of the Bayer midfielder.
Reminder: The Pharmaceutical company has offered their star figure a new contract until 2028 with a stipulated buyout clause. The clause will come into effect in 2026.
