The saga surrounding Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons continues. Two clubs are currently vying for the player.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Simons is not keen on staying at PSG and informed the Parisian management of this decision two weeks ago. Now, Simons is focusing on his next club, starting from Thursday. Currently, Bayern Munich and Leipzig are working on a loan deal for the young footballer. The choice now lies with Xavi Simons.
The sporting director of the Munich club, Max Eberl, is in contact with PSG management regarding a possible transfer of the player. RB Leipzig would also like to extend the midfielder's loan.
Earlier reports indicated that if Bayern fails to negotiate the purchase of Simons, they will return to the option of RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo.
In the past season, the 21-year-old Simons played 43 matches for "the Bulls" across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists.
