The 19-year-old Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini has captured the attention of several top European clubs with his confident performances for the Bergamo side.
According to Football-Italia, Bayern Munich has now joined the list of contenders vying for the talented defender. The Bavarians are determined and ready to compete against Inter and Juventus, who are seen as favorites in the pursuit of the player.
Bayern Munich had previously shown interest in Scalvini last summer, but they opted to acquire Kim Min-jae from Napoli for 50 million euros.
Earlier reports also suggested that Giorgio had attracted interest from certain English Premier League sides, particularly Liverpool.
The 19-year-old talent is a product of Atalanta's youth setup. In the current season, the promising defender has participated in 17 matches for Atalanta (playing 1260 minutes) and scored one goal. In total, Scalvini has featured in 72 games for Atalanta's senior team, netting four goals. Additionally, he has earned seven caps for the Italian national team.
Scalvini's contract with his current club expires in the summer of 2027. The esteemed German portal Transfermarkt values the player at 40 million euros.
